Mitchell Cabisudo, M.D.

Dr. Mitchell Cabisudo is a double board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who has been trained in different schools of psychotherapy and has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the use of life-saving medications. Dr. Cabisudo crucially understands the limitations and unfortunate repercussions of the use of medication. Therefore prior to contemplating to prescribing, he integrates the basic fundamentals yet profound complexities surrounding a person’s life which can significantly dictate the overall changes in one’s behavior and emotions. He uses a complete approach to client care, and encourages his clients to participate in their treatment plan and care. His philosophy is to “listen, learn, and help” accommodating each client’s lifestyle.

Dr. Cabisudo immediately identified a need for quality mental health care in the Hudson Valley community and cofounded Vitality Physicians Group Practice. He built this practice with the goal of helping anyone, no matter their age or location, overcome mental illness. He is also certified in delivering TMS or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy. This safe and effective treatment for depression has been FDA cleared since 2008 as an alternative for patients who do not respond to multiple trials of medication.

Our three locations are designed and maintained to provide an atmosphere free of judgment and discrimination as one may experience in a hospital or regular doctor’s office. Our highly trained and compassionate clinicians at Vitality use the latest innovations in psychiatric care, including telepsychiatry for the delivery of psychiatric assessment and care through videoconferencing.

I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, dealing with trauma, addictive patterns and behavioral issues that get in the way of effectively getting their needs met and getting the most out of their lives.
I work with individuals to process areas of stress, confusion, trauma and struggle to develop deeper awareness, discover solutions, coping skills, strengthen connections and increase self-acceptance. We work together to support healthy responses and identify self-defeating patterns.

Incorporating Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), body-based methods, mindfulness, and play therapy combined with DBT for children, I combine the mental, emotional and physical, adding deeper dimensions to your therapy. I treat children, adolescents and adults.

Alaina Allison

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Alaina is a licensed mental health counselor that offers a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental environment where Clients can speak freely and comfortably about the stressors in their lives. I easily engage with people and I’m an empathetic listener. I’m very open to listening and discussing anything that is troublesome for clients. My areas of specialization are with Anxiety and Depression and I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults.

My theoretical orientations are based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. With clients I use a mixture of behavioral modification techniques, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. With Dialectical Behavioral therapy I like to help people learn how to live more in the moment to decrease anxiety and stress through different mindfulness techniques. When working with children I often help them learn how to identify different emotions and healthy ways to express themselves. I like to teach children how to identify different triggers and then coping skills tailored to their interests so it’s easier for them to utilize.

Alaina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the State University at Albany. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. As a psychotherapist one of my goals is to help people learn ways to manage stress in their lives and work through difficulties. By having them explore thoughts and behaviors to become more self-aware, they can start to make more positive changes. I am dedicated to helping clients make positive changes in their lives to help them obtain set goals and achieve personal growth.
