Matt Levine is a 2007 graduate of the Harlem Physician Assistant program at the City University of New York School of Medicine. His passion for treating people with mental health challenges came about with working in both primary and addiction medicine, as he learned how people self medicated with illicit substances, patients coming in with medical illnesses and physical symptoms, all spawned from underlying psychiatric conditions. Matt has a waiver to prescribe medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction. Before becoming a physician assistant, Matt worked as a medic in the NY City Fire Department for ten years.
